It's effective without too much shine so it doesn't look too greasy. This is one of the only balms I have found that does NOT break me out. I use it for both my beard and my hair. It's an exceptional pomade! It isn't too greasy, it's got good hold. I'm not sure about conditioning quality yet, but it's been single digits temperature here and normally my beard feels very dry and kind of painful, I don't really know how else to describe it, and I haven't been having that problem since starting this product. Another bonus, it's a great barrier against wind/cold burn. I hope they don't stop selling this product because I for one know I would be a customer for life.
